To 18th December 2009

Dear Blingaholic,

Just had another day of work. Actually thought of e-mailing this to you, but since we have this blog might as well rant it here. :D

Today there was a new part time who just joined us here, though he is not totally a new staff, he has experience working in other outlet. Some how he is the brother of another outlet's Outlet Manager (OM). So no trouble need for him to settle in.

Apart from that, everything went smoothly. Didn't really did much cashiering today, more loitering around and doing drinks. I was also able to mop the whole outlet thoroughly, since the crowd stop coming at 12:30pm, took my sweet time though. Hopefully can mop the floor every week, get to sweat a bit.

Then, then, when we were going home, I met another staff from Forum Gallerie, though I've met him for like a few weeks, I still do not know his name. :P
He was just telling us about what happen there, it seems like a staff fainted from overworking, and the funny part was that the assistant manager of that outlet somehow caught his vomit, with his two hands. I guess the manager actually thought that he was about to fall, so he reached out his hands.

Oh ya, today I didn't really pass by any Christmas Tree... Couldn't take any pictures for you. But hopefully during Christmas I can.

Guess that's about it, too bad cannot chat with you now. Oh well, Rest well kay? Hopefully tomorrow (or today) would be a better and fun day.

From
OTaKu

PS:
I Love You.
Make sure you take care of yourself.
Time To Go Pom2 :P

PSS:
Just now I drank a cup of hazelnut Latte. Now I guess I'll be having trouble sleeping. :(

R.I.P

As we grow older, it's inevitable that people around us gradually age and eventually leave us. No matter how many goodbyes we have to say along the way, none if it would make another any less bitter.

Yesterday, I lost my 3rd aunty.

She doesn't exist in my earliest memory, but as far as I can remember, she has been a tailor all her life. She used to stay with us until she got her own place at USJ 3, just her and her little pooch, Snoopy.

Aunt was a great cook. She could occasionally invite us to her place for a delicious home cook dinner. And it wouldn't be the same Chinese New Year without her scurrying around the kitchen whipping up her best dishes.

Est. year 2005, when our house was being renovated, we stayed with her for around 3 months. That's when we found out she would sew all day and night to meet her customer's date line, drinking cups of coffee to keep herself awake. I guess that's part of the reason why her health went downhill.

For the past 2 years aunt has been in and out of the hospital. It wasn't easy for her or anyone of us.

However my relationship with aunt hasn't been just a smooth ride. We had our misunderstandings and disagreements.

I don't remember how old I was, but was just a little girl. As my birthday is around the corner aunt custom made me a little yellow dress. I wasn't a dress type of girl for as long as I can remember. And it was sort of like an empire dress, I guess I didn't know how to appreciate the flattering cut then. So being a kid and all, I didn't like the dress. Aunt told me to wait till it's completed and it'll look really pretty, and I could wear it on my birthday, and if I didn't like it then, I could give it to my cousin. Well, that didn't change my mind. And that little yellow dress went straight into my cousin's closet. Of course aunt was mad, and hadn't made me another garment since. I guess she forgot what she said, I only gave it to my cousin because she said I could.

And there was this time I refused to play with a cousin I wasn't very fond of (For a good reason, I insist.), and got a lecture from her and my small aunt, and they made it a big deal. I guess I never did truly forgive any 3 of them.

But those days were over.

---

I was a little afraid to look into the casket. So I had dad to accompany me.

But when I saw her face, she looked like she was just sleeping. Suddenly I felt a gush of grief.

It could be a good thing for her to move on, at least I hope all the pain and sufferings are gone.

Rest in Peace.

AhGene Shakespears

Dear Blingaholic,

Here is a poem dedicated to you.
Hope this poem will have the power to "un-emo-fy" you.
Enjoy,

ITADAKIMAS

My Dear Chia Xiwern

She can be a pain in people’s asses

Apart from that there are the 3S’s

Which are Sulk-able, Spoiled and Selfish

Who only eats a certain type of fish.

*********

But we should never judge a book by its cover.

Indeed there are many reasons to why I love her.

***

She will the cutest girl in sight,

But wait till you see her sexy side.

Humble, Hardworking and Honest,

Sometimes she can be Earnest.

***

No doubt we tend to break into a fight,

But her ways will calm us down by night.

I know that I always make her unhappy.

To make it up to her, I’ll try to get her a puppy.

***********

I hope you liked this few random lines

Cause now me and Klauser are cracking our minds

Hope you will give me another chance to write you many more

Cause I really really really love you, deep down to the core

P.S: Good Night Baby, I love you.

With lots of LOVE and a poem

I like to Move it- Move it~

Dear Blingaholic and Plue,

Baby, Guess what???
I've just move everything around in me room (Well not "Everything", but at least most of it). Cause like I've told you that one of uncle's brother is coming to stay for a few nights, and we are going to share the room.

So now cannot stay up late for a few nights, cause that uncle might be sleeping early...

P.S: I really want to show how my room looks like now.
P.S.S: Hopefully I get a job soon... so that I don't need to stay home all day.

With ultra-lots of LOVE and Kisses, and hugs

Story From Aunty

Dear Blingaholic & Plue,

Just recently got a story from aunty, as you can read from the title *GRINS*

It's about the drama on their side of the family. Mainly about why, my cousin, the one that drives the Red Mazda 3, dislike his side of the family. The main cause, is cause of the problems that side of the family cause. Firstly, if you notice, you will not be able to see both my aunty and cousin up in KL, cause none of my uncle's relative wants to take in the old lady (Not even for a week), which forces either my aunty or cousin to stay behind here to look after her. How many years already, my cousin wanted to go up to KL to celebrate Chinese New Year with us.

Apart from that, my aunty also told me this incident, a few years back, when my uncle's eldest brother's son, his nephew, came to Singapore to stay. At that time, my uncle was waiting for a very important letter. Then, on the day the letter arrived, his nephew some how open the letter and threw it away (which I don't know how it happened, aunty just explain to me like that). After awhile, my uncle found the letter in the dustbin, so he asked his nephew whether he did it or not, and the nephew admitted that he did it. So both my aunty and uncle, told him nicely not to do that next time, because some letters are very important. And a few days later, the nephew left the house and wrote a letter to them saying that he will be staying with his friends. Then my uncle's family all started to scold my aunty and uncle for shoo-ing the nephew out, and even my uncle's father also scolded him, and didn't even give them a chance to explain what really happen.

Well, that all the story that aunty shared with me.

PS: Take care of yourself, you know? On Thursday and Saturday, when you go out.
PSS: Don't wear so sexy also, later got many many "preying eyes"

With lots of LOVE, XOXO,
OTAKU

Back from Sunny Singapore <3

Food post! <3

My first dinner at Singapore with Jie jie and Gene was at Waraku (The Central, Clarke Quay), we shared an omelette shrimp curry rice, quite oishii, but the curry was too spicy for me >:

Later we head out to HOOTERS, which is probably relatively famous for its chicken wings. The waitresses there are super skimpy I assure you.

Fried cheesecake drizzled with chocolate sauce

Chicken wings in 'Medium'. Also ordered one in '911'.

Breakfast the next morning was at Coffee Club, Tiong Bharu Plaza.

Just jie jie and me!

Jie jie's. Really don't remember what it is. Some egg baked in a ramekin probably? xP

My smoked salmon and scramble egg on corn cake.

Breakfast comes with a pot of tea and a cookie <3>

We went to cook for Gene's aunty and family! Went shopping for ingredients which was pretty fun, dinner was tres delicieux! Also had creme de champignon as starter.
Entree was Toh Yee Gene's cordon bleu, my mashed pommes avec sauce blanc et sauteed legumes.

Mor mor/Miaw miaw seems to be a bit emo because nobody share dinner with her.

Lunch at Swenson's with Gene at Suntec. Forgot to take picture of my salmon and mushroom cream pasta >: But it was delicious! Taste like carbonara. The lunch was 1 for 1 so Gene ordered a Baked Cheese Macaroni. 1 for 1 lunch ends at 2pm and we were there around 1.50pm, so we didn't have much time to look through the menu.

Marvelous Cream parfait at City Hall MRT. Quite costly, very fun to watch them prepare the ice cream, but not all that yummy. We had 'Charlotte of Strawberry and Mango'.

Italian food at Pronto, Great world.

With Jie jie.
& a posing boyfriend.

Jie jie's favourite Al Fungi pizza. Very cheesy, yummy!

Some fried mushroom with salsa as starter.

Cream pasta. Doesn't taste nice >:

Last but not least,
I came home with pink/blonde hair extensions. :D

Weirdness Found

Dear Blingaholic and Plue,

Today I came across an ad on the
Singaporean JobsDB, the Raffles Chain is looking for waiters and hosts, for their new chain food outlet. Guess where this new food outlet is?

KUALA LUMPUR
The next thing that came out from my mouth was
"What The Hell!!!!"

It's like they are wanting to downgrade themselve and invest there.
Oh, the restaurant is located in the Golden Triangle, it's called the Cafe Stelle.
It features refreshing Italian-inspired cuisine, with traditional favourites prepared in light, fresh and innovative way.

Here is the Recruitment Ad;

Requirements:

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

· Good oral and written fluency in English

· Experience in all aspects of café/bar service

· Must be well presented and professionally groomed

· Good motivational skills

· Good leader and trainer (!?!?!?!?!?)

· Strong interpersonal skills and attention to details

QUALIFICATION

· Secondary school education and or Hotel Management School graduate

EXPERIENCE

· Minimum 1 - 3 years Hotel experience with at least 1 year in similar role in 5-star deluxe hotel and high profile clients

The Ad seem a lil demanding, no? Makes me wonder are they paying in RM or SGD?
Well Good Luck to Them finding a person of such qualification

Anyways, apart from that I applied for other posts as Bartender and Waiter, namely with the Happy People Co, Brussel Sprout, and a few other hotels.

"Wish Me Luck,
Hopefully I can get the job!!!"

PS: can't wait to see you soon too.

With Lots of Love & Hugs,
The Otaku

Cupcakes~!

My cousin Cheryn wanted to bake cupcakes for her friend's 24th birthday today so after my class I met up with her and Kimmie at Puchong Bake with Yen to buy the ingredients. Not sure what the total was but should be rather costly. We even bought large piping rings that we didn't end up using, but would probably be put into use when my aunt comes back from Melbourne and teach us how to bake prettier cupcakes! <3

The theme is pink, because her friend likes the colour. So we tinted the white chocolate ganache pink for the topping of our butter cupcakes! Look how pink the ganache got with just 2 drops of colouring D:

Our decorative items of the day, from sugar hearts to chocolate rice and silver sprinkles.

Box #1. Pretty yes?

Box #2.

Kimmie talking to Jie jie.

Everyone's on the phone! >:

So I camwhored a bit. :D

While mummie dearest replenish our keropok supply.

A failed attempt. My xoxo and Kimmie's CJ7/Stickman thingy.

But an inspiration for a prettier version. (:

The cupcakes that did not pass the test wallows in a corner. :'<

Stickman is broken-hearted. So Kimmie gave it a ball :D

One very proud designer. (:

Picture of the crew after a job well-done and filled tummies. Black is the new pink!

Last but not least,
My new pet bunny. :3

To the south: Act 2

Dear Blingaholic and Plue,

My journey to Singapore was a sucessful one, so don't you worry about me being in one piece.
The journey was a little boring. But upon arriving here, everything still seemed kinda new again, might need some time again to calm down again. Apart from that aunty and uncle were very welcoming, they gave a room this time. But it wasn't a room in the first place according to the blueprint, but it looks and feels really nice. Well that's all for the trip, and some updates. Thought of going for a night scroll though

Just got some bad news... Mummy and Daddy don't let you to stay with me...

PS. Can you help me to bring down the elmo shirt and Klauser?

With lots of love and hugs,
Otaku
